History: When Lauren was a child and went to school, she had been in Amity in her earlier years, she had been out of the ordinary and didn't act as an Amity child, but as a Dauntless child. She had never really been very into art as she was into practicing fake punching while her parents hadn't noticed her in her room. A lot of other Amity children had always been afraid of her so they plain just didn't make peace with her, specifically, even though Amity were supposed to make peace with everybody that they meet. When it came to family, her brother, Parker, had been very nice to her just because he was afraid of her beating him up if he said one rude comment, one rude smirk, one rude anything. As far as her parents, though, they didn't like her rude attitude and seemed glad she had transferred to Dauntless. She, herself had waited for years to be able to leave her terrible life, with not fitting in and all, to migrate to a new home in which people respected her and didn't run, in terror, from her.
History: her name wasn't always Esmerelda Clark, before that it was Lila. Lila Brown. She was factionless. It happened when she was 16. An amity girl had been walking through an alleyway eating a piece of bread, and she was so so hungry. And she attacked her. Lila attacked the amity girl, not caring whether she'd have given her the bread anyway; out of kindness. They didnt fight for very long - the amity girl didnt put up much if a fight- and as soon as Lila had won she was so overcome with hunger she didn't notice the blood pooling from the girl's head until it was too late. She was dead. Lila hadn't known what to do and she didnt want to get into trouble, so she started rummaging through the girl's pockets, until she came across her ID card. 'Esmerelda Clark, 16, amity born. Lila had hidden the body in an abandoned building and transformed herself into Esmerelda Clark the best she could. It was a good job they looked quite similar. She then went and loved her life, pretending. And when she had to choose the next day, she chose dauntless. Not because she wanted to but because she had to. Candor would make her tell everyone, amity would know who she was, abnegation would be able to work it out, and the same for abnegation; always focusing outward.
