Title help! - last book of a series

Since you asked what we might love or hate of the suggestions, I wouldn't go that far but the words "root" and "nerve" don't appeal to me; they sound like body parts (although for some reason the word "pulse" is coming to mind). Good luck! :)

The Line at the End
The Order and the Nerve
The Last Nerve
Out of Order

I think as long as you do not us the definite article, "The", before the Nouns of the title, as in "The Order", it will help to not give too much away.

I'm afraid I'm with M.L. on the use of 'root' and 'nerve' - both literally put my teeth on edge! lol
I thought maybe 'End of the Order'? Though that might be a bit too on-the-nose, I guess.

You could also use a play on words such that the word "order" in the title does not refer to the organization, but the concept.
For instance "The Rise of Order", might refer to the ordered society that arises once THE ORDER is defeated.
Admittedly, my genre is poetry, so I think about plays on words. Lol.

I really didn't think of Nerve/Root reminding people of root canals and that is a valuable insight right there!
I do like End of the Order, even if it is obvious... Ascent from Order might work better. The Line to the End might work too.
And I wasn't against using a preposition if it works in the title. And I'm all for simple! Simple and catchy. ;)
Good ideas. I'm always impressed/pleased with the air this group gives me. It's always helpful for me to mull this over with other people.
Cheers and thanks much!
It might sound a bit raw, but maybe something like "Beyond the Nerve Endings" or "Above the Order" or "Edge of the Order"?
I'm always so pragmatic, I'm afraid I might be rubbish at anything that requires an imagination lol.
Really good luck!

Don't sell yourself short. If you are on here, you have an imagination. That and pragmatism are not mutually exclusive, it is just that you would write a different book than a romantic like me!!
Thank you, Edward. So kind!
I want to be romantic, I really do. I'm just....so....tired from all this four-legged pragmatism lol....

Hi Beth.
You made me smile. Sometimes we romantics go around getting depressed because there are no unicorns nor fairy castles in real life, and the pragmatists can get down, because life is pretty much EXACTLY how they imagine it.
Sort of like the human condition. lol. I bet THAT has been written about!

No, these are great. And even if it isn't one I pick, it could always spark new ideas. So, thank you so much for sharing!!
Edge of Desperation
Center of Deception
Places Between
Afflicted to the Core
So you can see, each title has some sort of location/placement (Edge, Center, Between, Core). I want to continue with that.
Also, Core, comes from the novel, in which the Core is the inner circle of the bad guy organization. That organization is called the Order of Spiritii. Also, the magic users Wield the Nerve of the World, and the Nerve has a root in people. The Order/Core say that they Wield the Spirit of the World, so there are crosses of importance here for word choices.
So, the next book is going to be the final book and I want the title to be a bit more uplifting, giving some sense of a 'win'... though, is that such a great idea. Will it give too much away?
So, here are some of my thoughts, but I love none of them. None feels right.
Beyond the Order
Within the Spirit
Root of the Nerve
Root of Power
Heart of the Root
Spirit of the Root
Heart of Valor
Last of the Nerve
Axis of the Nerve
So, thoughts, brand new ideas, what you love what you hate? Thanks all for your help!
It's funny how all the others came very easily.
