If you are claiming a GR author, you must include the name of the author in your post

Please repost indicating that you would like to claim a Goodreads Author ticket at the top of your post. Reposts must be complete so include book links and any necessary information (you can click edit and copy your post including the html code book links- just copying a post does not copy the links)

Damn I've just seen that I should have posted them together! Sorry, Sorry! New to challenge and it's a bit overwhelming. I posted my second book (the very short Casino Royale but I didn't repost the first one). Do I need to repost again or would that just be even more confusing?

P.S. I'm a knob... :-(

Yes, please repost again and, as Dee said, include both books in the same post. Don't worry, we all find the challenge a bit overwhelming in the beginning. You'll get the hang of it.... ;-)

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban has the genre "children's" on its main page. Please see Rule #4 under Book Formats and Page Numbers Explained in the Rules of the Challenge: Effective Fall 2014 thread for information that must accompany all children's books claimed for points in the SRC and repost with the required information.

Task 20.7 requires both the words "go" and "home" be present in the title, subtitle, series title, or author's name. I don't see the word "go" in Small-Town Homecoming by Lissa Manley.

Task 20.3 is a one book task. For now, I've attributed Treasure Hunt for this task for you in my records. If you'd like to change this, please make a new post in the completed task thread saying you'd like to remove this book and substitute in a different one (and provide all the information needed for the substitute book).

You may use The Shadow of the Wind for some other task if you wish.

I've been following the Seasonal Reading Challenge since the beginning and I love reading these books. I make my lists but I have trouble keeping track of the points and I don't know how to post pictures of books or other things sometimes requested with the task to actually get the points. haha maybe it is just me. There are plenty of places to find help- try General Help there's a thread there with instructions and pictures on how to add book links and covers. From the "add book" screen, find your book, then switch the tab to "author" and you can add the author without an additional search

message 175: by Dee (new)

I can see why you were confused. Someone has deleted a post in the completed task thread, shifting all the numbers. *sigh* This is why we ask people not to delete posts.

The original post that had the problem was post 582. It is now post 581. In that post, you claimed task 25.2. You originally posted the task on Sep 14, 2014 at 09:41AM. You edited that post on Sep 14, 2014 at 06:47PM. Sometime between 09:41AM and 06:47PM on Sep 14, 2014, I came through the thread recording tasks. At that time the books in the task were not linked. We do not go backwards in the completed task thread hunting for edited posts. It's way too confusing and time consuming. That's why we ask people to make new posts to address problems.

Please repost task 25.2 with links so I can pick up your books and points on my way through the posts. Thanks!

Hello! I just have a quick question. This book didn't have children's on its page when I posted it (I had been checking every day for the past two weeks because it keeps getting that main page genre and then it goes away and then it comes back, etc, so bad timing on the post I guess).

I'm wondering if I could get verification when it goes away again on the genre verification thread that it is NOT there. Would this work and then I could repost with the information after that verification or would this not be allowed?

Yes, you can do that. You can also use it for a 5-point task. You're allowed one children's book with a book level below 5.0 as long as the AR points are above 5.0.

Habibi has the genre Sequential Art and Comics on it's main page. As per the Rules of the Challenge: Effective Fall 2014, books whose main page lists any of these genres: Sequential Art, Comics, Comic Book, or Manga may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks unless specifically allowed by the task creator. Task 25.3 does not allow sequential art books.

A Case of Possession appears to exist in ebook format only. Please see the Rules of the Challenge for information on how to deal with ebooks with no print editions.

Also, I just wanted to mention for future reference that (A Charm of Magpies #2) is a series title, not a subtitle. Subtitles usually follow a colon and, when you link a book, a subtitle is included in the link. Series titles are found in parentheses on the book's main page and are followed by a number. They will not appear in the link when you use the add book/author feature. This makes a difference when a task requires a word or letters to be found in the title or subtitle. Series titles are not included in that unless they are specifically allowed.
