Questions/Problems in Completed Tasks

Task 25.2 is a two book task. Both books should be posted together. Please post this task again when you've finished both books."
Damn I've just seen that I should have posted them together! Sorry, Sorry! New to challenge and it's a bit overwhelming. I posted my second book (the very short Casino Royale but I didn't repost the first one). Do I need to repost again or would that just be even more confusing?
P.S. I'm a knob... :-(

Yes, please repost again and, as Dee said, include both books in the same post. Don't worry, we all find the challenge a bit overwhelming in the beginning. You'll get the hang of it.... ;-)

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban has the genre "children's" on its main page. Please see Rule #4 under Book Formats and Page Numbers Explained in the Rules of the Challenge: Effective Fall 2014 thread for information that must accompany all children's books claimed for points in the SRC and repost with the required information.

Task 25.7 is a two book task. Both books should be posted together. Please post this task again when you've finished both books.

Task 20.7 requires both the words "go" and "home" be present in the title, subtitle, series title, or author's name. I don't see the word "go" in Small-Town Homecoming by Lissa Manley.

Dancing On The Notes Of life appears to exist in ebook format only. Please see the Rules of the Challenge for information on how to deal with ebooks with no print editions.

Task 20.3 is a one book task. For now, I've attributed Treasure Hunt for this task for you in my records. If you'd like to change this, please make a new post in the completed task thread saying you'd like to remove this book and substitute in a different one (and provide all the information needed for the substitute book).
You may use The Shadow of the Wind for some other task if you wish.

Task 25.5 is a two book task. Both books should be posted together. Please post this task again when you've finished both books.

We do not have an Miguel on the list of Readerboard names. If you have a RB name, please put it at the TOP of your completed task posts.
If you do not have a Readerboard name, please request one here: READERBOARD NAMES - Read Posts # 1 & 2

Task 5.2 requires that you state the element abbreviation when you post your completed task. Please repost this task (make a NEW post in the completed task thread) with the required information. Please DO NOT edit or delete post 707.

Please see Rule #5 under Book Formats and Page Numbers Explained in the Rules of the Challenge. Art books like Cake Wrecks: When Professional Cakes Go Hilariously Wrong cannot be claimed for points in the SRC.

Holes has the genre "children's" on its main page. Please see Rule #4 under Book Formats and Page Numbers Explained in the Rules of the Challenge: Effective Fall 2014 thread for information that must accompany all children's books claimed for points in the SRC and repost with the required information.

We do not have a Yen on the Readerboard name list. If you are Yen Yen, please put your Readerboard name at the TOP of your posts.
If you do not have a Readerboard name or you'd like to change the one you have, please place a request here: READERBOARD NAMES - Read Posts # 1 & 2

Task 5.9 requires that you state your native language(s) as well as the original language of the book. Please repost this task with the required information. No need to repost the other tasks in this message; they have been recorded.

Sorry, I misread the task and didn't realize both words needed to be intact in the title. I will use this book for another task.

There are plenty of places to find help- try General Help there's a thread there with instructions and pictures on how to add book links and covers. From the "add book" screen, find your book, then switch the tab to "author" and you can add the author without an additional search

You've already claimed task 15.9 with the same book."
I was told here in message 123 that I had to repost with a link to the book. I was confused because I had the link there, but I wanted my points to show up, so I did what I was told to do in order to get the points.

Noted. Please repost the task and mention that the genre has been verified. I can then pick it up on my way through the posts. Thanks!

I can see why you were confused. Someone has deleted a post in the completed task thread, shifting all the numbers. *sigh* This is why we ask people not to delete posts.
The original post that had the problem was post 582. It is now post 581. In that post, you claimed task 25.2. You originally posted the task on Sep 14, 2014 at 09:41AM. You edited that post on Sep 14, 2014 at 06:47PM. Sometime between 09:41AM and 06:47PM on Sep 14, 2014, I came through the thread recording tasks. At that time the books in the task were not linked. We do not go backwards in the completed task thread hunting for edited posts. It's way too confusing and time consuming. That's why we ask people to make new posts to address problems.
Please repost task 25.2 with links so I can pick up your books and points on my way through the posts. Thanks!

There is a Nicola in the challenge, but I don't think that's your Readerboard name. Please repost any tasks in post 755 with your Readerbaord name at the TOP of you post. Otherwise, the other Nicola's going to get your points. ;-)

We have many Dianes in the challenge. Please repost the tasks (make a NEW post in the completed task thread) in this post with your Readerboad name at the TOP of you post. Please DO NOT delete or edit post 765.

Task 20.6 requires that books be at least 250 pages. The paperback version of F814 is only 172 pages.

Ann B. Ross won't work for task 10.6. There is no 'B' in Antarctica and nowhere does it say middle initials can be ignored.

The House of Hades has the genre "children's" on its main page. Please see Rule #4 under Book Formats and Page Numbers Explained in the Rules of the Challenge: Effective Fall 2014 thread for information that must accompany all children's books claimed for points in the SRC and repost with the required information.

Task 10.3 is a cover task. All tasks that ask for something to appear on the cover (a color, an object, etc) require you to post the cover in your completed task post.
Please repost (make a NEW post in the completed task thread) this task and include the cover. There is no need to repost any other tasks in this post. They have already been recorded. Please DO NOT edit or delete post 793.

Task 10.3 requires that you identify the pink item when you post your completed task.
Please repost (make a NEW post in the completed task thread) this task, including the missing information. Please DO NOT edit or delete post 795.

Thanks, I have reposted. Did the same thing with post 817 - so I reposted with my readerboard name but did not delete the old post.

Sorry posted the wrong task. I changed it to a 5 point book but didn't look change it out on my reading list. I reposted for the correct task but the points are going to be off but that's about it.

Hello! I just have a quick question. This book didn't have children's on its page when I posted it (I had been checking every day for the past two weeks because it keeps getting that main page genre and then it goes away and then it comes back, etc, so bad timing on the post I guess).
I'm wondering if I could get verification when it goes away again on the genre verification thread that it is NOT there. Would this work and then I could repost with the information after that verification or would this not be allowed?

Yes, you can do that. You can also use it for a 5-point task. You're allowed one children's book with a book level below 5.0 as long as the AR points are above 5.0.

All posts for points, including reposts, must contain links to the books read. Please repost this task including links.

Habibi has the genre Sequential Art and Comics on it's main page. As per the Rules of the Challenge: Effective Fall 2014, books whose main page lists any of these genres: Sequential Art, Comics, Comic Book, or Manga may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks unless specifically allowed by the task creator. Task 25.3 does not allow sequential art books.

A Case of Possession appears to exist in ebook format only. Please see the Rules of the Challenge for information on how to deal with ebooks with no print editions.
Also, I just wanted to mention for future reference that (A Charm of Magpies #2) is a series title, not a subtitle. Subtitles usually follow a colon and, when you link a book, a subtitle is included in the link. Series titles are found in parentheses on the book's main page and are followed by a number. They will not appear in the link when you use the add book/author feature. This makes a difference when a task requires a word or letters to be found in the title or subtitle. Series titles are not included in that unless they are specifically allowed.

All posts for points, including reposts, must contain links to the books read. Please repost this task including links.
Also, when you repost, please include ONLY the Readerboard name listed for you in post 1 of READERBOARD NAMES thread at the top of your posts.

We do not have a TIFF on the list of Readerboard names. Please request a unique Readerboard name in this thread: READERBOARD NAMES - Read Posts # 1 & 2, then repost your tasks (make a NEW post in the completed task thread) with your Readerboard name at the TOP of your post. Please DO NOT edit or delete post 855. See post 100 in this thread, also.

If you are claiming a GR author, you must include the name of the author in your post
Please repost indicating that you would like to claim a Goodreads Author ticket at the top of your post. Reposts must be complete so include book links and any necessary information (you can click edit and copy your post including the html code book links- just copying a post does not copy the links)
