Definitely a 5. Evokes a sense, mystery, and curiosity.

Which cover? Or which edition of the cover?

message 4: by Yuvraj (new)

Yuvraj Todankar | 15 comments the same edition which we are reading on OSS. Go and watch it on Instagram and follow Oss's profile over there to stay updated

Hello Yuvraj,

Some people don't have Instagram and don't want it 😉. It should not be a requirement to keep being updated.

I am kindly believing that it would have been nice to reply Pam that the cover you are talking about is the one displayed in the forum (Home page). I am even wondering if Pam actually asked you those questions because there are several beautiful covers from a few editions that are worth to see 😊

Try to be a bit kinder in your words Yuvraj and maybe a little bit less abrupt. I know language barrier does not make things easy, myself I am not English speaker (not my mother tongue), so I sometimes struggle to write the words that transcript the best my thoughts and I am sure sometime I fail! But it's ok, because failure is ok when people around are kind and supportive! 😊

Ps: personally, I from those who believe the OSS forum is the best way to keep being updated (or it should be) because that there you have interaction, clicking on a ❤️ or posting 3-4 words as comment is less valuable (in my opinion) than a post here. I guess it's because we spend more energy and are more "true" here than in Instagram, Twitter etc... 😉
I won't hide that I am not a big fan of the "I press a button to get things quickly, I don't spend my own energy and spend efforts to get it. All of that suppress our critical thinking while we have the illusion to be more aware. To be true we consume more and quicker but unwisely and wrongly.". We forget and forgot (still in my opinion) the true value of things and the consequences because we consider what we have is assured while it's actually not for a long run :)

Yuvraj Todankar | 15 comments hello Florian ,

Thank for such a nice and long reply because I wanted somebody to explain me that we can stay updated over here.

Florian listen,

even I don't like to waste my time on social media but I been trying to help others who still believe that there I a way for staying updated from social media.

I am new here and I really don't know how to help the OSS's member correctly.

I joined this group because I am a feminist and I even like to read book and like to help people also.

if you think I am wrong I will immediately leave this group.

I wasn't knowing that we can see the cover on the forum.

If helping people with best known way is waste of energy, then it my time to quit(^.^)

Yuvraj Todankar | 15 comments sorry Florian but I found your reply rude. plz reply fast because I don't want any argument on this group.

this group only discuss about the book which is been read by the moderators and oss members.

This group is for discussion not for debate

Sorry if you are hurt.

(I know you are not but even then sorry)

Rudeness aside from you Yuvraj; we should also note that different editions are published in different countries. So my version of the book my not be your edition.

I would also appreciate that while we are on the forum, perhaps you can cater to the forum. And not to a different medium. By doing so, you can also make sure that you embed the image into the forum topic. This would help prevent more misunderstanding and help keep interested parties who may not have the time to swipe back and forth between the home page.

(Thanks Emma, I didn't even know about the redder version until you mentioned it!)

And if there are more than one edition, it adds to the discussion about why these exist. Was it the author's choice, the publishers? Is one cover more appealing to the East than the West? Etc.

Late answer my bad. To be honest I did not even noticed youe post to me... Once again my bad (I'm a bit tired). You are all good Yuvraj, no offense taken and I'm not hurt no worry 😉

Edit: and no! Helping other is not wrong! I am tempted to say that you would be wrong to leave, so stick with us. We all learn from each other, you may be rude sometimes in your words or I should say direct but guess what I'm also outspoken sometime 😋

Gray cover:
Sense of mystery, shows off a journey... But I find it too Western.. 4 out of 5

The green baige cover
There is something to be said about primacy, and when I think of Pachinko, I think this cover. It's fun, mysterious as i do not know the symbolism at play here, and it stands out. 4.5/5

The red cover:
Happy cover. But almost makes it look 70's with some of the older designs. 4/5
