Rules:
◈ All book formats are acceptable.
◈ Books must be at least 150 pages.
◈ You may post a list in advance, or post as you go. Changes can be made to your list at any time.
◈ Please provide the book title/author link for each book read, as well as the date finished.
◈ After you have completed the challenge, please re-post your list as a new message.

1. Dorothy Gale - Dorothy was played by Judy Garland in the 1939 version of the movie. Read a book set in Kansas OR with a main character or author named Dorothy or Judy OR a weather related word in the title OR about a weather related disaster OR a book about an orphan.

2. Professor Marvel - Frank Morgan played Professor Marvel/a doorman/a guard and the wizard. Read a book with a wizard as the protagonist OR a book about a college professor OR with a character/author named Frank or Morgan OR a character who has more than one job.

3. Scarecrow - Ray Bloger played both Hunk and the Scarecrow who only wanted a brain. Read a book with a scarecrow on the cover or in the title OR with a character/author named Ray OR with a character who is really smart OR a book with a hunk on the cover.

4. Tin Man - Jack Haley played both Hickory and the Tin Man who lacks a heart. Read a book with a Tin Man/robot (any metal will do) on the cover OR a character/author named Jack or Haley OR a plot revolving around a heartless character OR "Tin" or "Man" in the title.

5. Cowardly Lion - Bert Lahr played both Zeke and the Cowardly Lion who lacks courage. Read a book with a lion on the cover or in the title OR a character/author named Bert or Zeke OR a plot involving a cowardly character OR a character portraying false bravado (putting on a good front) OR a book with a yellow cover.

6. Glinda - Glinda, the good witch of the North was portrayed by Billie Burke. She transfers the ruby slippers to Dorothy's feet before the Wicked Witch of the West can claim them. Read a book with a red cover or shoes on the cover OR a book about a good witch OR a book with "North" in the title OR a character/author named Billie or Burke (any spelling).

7. Wicked Witch of the West - Margaret Hamilton played both Miss Almira Gulch and the Wicked Witch of the West. When Miss Almira Gulch is bitten by Dorothy's pet Cairn Terrier, Toto, she gets a sheriff's order and takes him away to be destroyed. Read a book with a bad witch/sorcerer OR a book set in another realm OR a book with a bicycle/hat in the title or on the cover OR a plot where animals are abused OR a book where the main character has a beloved pet.

8. Aunt Em and Uncle Henry - Clara Bandick played Aunt Em and Charley Grapewin played Uncle Henry. Read a book where an aunt or uncle play a major role OR has a character/author named Clara, Emily, Henry or Charley (any spelling) OR a book set on a farm.

9. Nikko - Nikko is the head flying monkey and was played by Pat Walshe. Read a book with a monkey somewhere in the story, on the cover or in the title OR with a character/author named Pat or Nikko (Nick, Nikkie works too) OR with a flying creature (any species).

10. Munchkins - Dwarfism is when an individual is short in stature resulting from a medical condition caused by problems that arise in the pituitary gland in which the growth of the individual is very slowed or delayed. Read a book featuring a dwarf or midget OR a plot involving a circus/carnival element OR a short novella (150 pages or less).

Bonus: Read any book set in the world of the Wizard of Oz originally written by L. Frank Baum.
