I think the book holds promise. I've read up through the Go chapter. The concepts seem simple enough, and I'm willing to try them out. I guess the best test of this book is to do just that.
Kaufman says step/principle #1 is: "Choose a lovable project." I think what I've done after my retirement is choose lovable project after lovable project, without staying with any of them long enough.
I am really liking this book so far. The approach to breaking down the skills I want to learn into the essential sub-skills is pretty clever. I will try this on the next skill I try to learn.

What kinds of skills are you considering?

I am trying to learn the Piano for a couple of years now. And after finishing this book, I got really inspired after reading the Ukulele chapter, since it is also a musical instrument. Now I am trying to apply these techniques to myself. It has been 3 days and I am finding real progress so far!

Cool! Anything in particular that has worked or has not worked?
