A running list for countries I cannot find female authors for (i.e. also with books that are in print), we will have to discuss at some point what we will do for these countries.

Kazakhstan (https://www.wordswithoutborders.org/a...)
Kiribati (Marita Davies has a story in the anthology So Many Islands.)
Kosovo
Kyrgyzstan

Checked out all three Kazakh women authors and none of their books is available in print. So frustrating.

Maria I'm very late to this thread, but I saw on the website that you're having trouble with Uzbekistan. There's an author called Bibish who has written her autobiography called "The Dancer from Khiva" which has been translated into English! Unfortunately I haven't read it yet so can't comment on its quality, from Uzbekistan I've only read "A Carpet Ride to Khiva" and "The Railway" which were both fantastic books, but written by male authors.

I'll see if I can find anything else from that country written by women, I have a list of books somewhere from when I was obsessed with Uzbekistan.
