Nominations are now open for June 2019!

Amanda Flower, Beverly Lewis, Sarah Price, Ruth Reid and Emma Schwartz are exempt from nomination as we've already read one of their books this year, although we may make exceptions for novella collections that include one of these authors. If you're not sure if your book is eligible for nomination, please leave a comment and one of the moderators will get back to you!

Rules:
1. Any Amish-themed novel is eligible.
2. One nomination per person.
3. If two people nominate the same book, each person's vote counts. So the book will feature twice in the list to give each vote an equal chance.
4. Nominations run until the 14th of the month, with the winner announced on the 15th.
5. The winning book is chosen using Random.org to make it completely fair.
6. Please don't nominate a book we have already read. You can see our list of previous group reads here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... or look at the group read's bookshelf here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books... (it includes the Christian group read as well).
7. Only nominate the first book in a series UNLESS we have already read #1 (see above link). In this case, #2 is then eligible for nomination!

Nominate away!!

#1 - The Beloved Hope Chest (Amish Heirloom, #4) by Amy Clipston -- Natalie
#2 - Spring's Renewal (Seasons of Sugarcreek #2) by Shelley Shepard Gray -- Carolyn
#3 - A Simple Faith (Lancaster Crossroads, #1) by Rosalind Lauer -- Barbara
#4 - Love by the Numbers by Laura V. Hilton -- J.E.B.

Great idea Natalie!

Who else has ideas? I'm going to be away next week and may or may not have internet access, so don't be alarmed if your nominations take a little while to be added to the list.

Carolyn | 0 comments we haven't done Shelley Shepard Gray since 2014; I suggest the series second book, appears to be a stand-alone-book Spring's Renewal (Seasons of Sugarcreek, #2) by Shelley Shepard Gray

Good idea Carolyn

Amanda Low | 23 comments Barbara, is there a list of books that we (the groups) want to read? I’m sure I looked at one last month - that’s how I made my nomination. However, I can’t seem to find it. Would you mind posting the link for me?

Carolyn | 0 comments Amanda, I've never been aware of that list; but, if there is, I would like to see it also. Usually goodreads home page has suggestions that others are reading.

I am not aware of such a list but it would be handy if someone would like to start one. Any takers?

We used to have someone who would compile to coming soon releases, but she hasn't done that in a while.

J.E.B. Spredemann (jspredemann) | 170 comments How about Love By the Numbers by Laura V. Hilton?

message 13: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Low | 23 comments Barbara, I would be willing todo that. I’m not the greatest on good reads yet.. but I am getting better! I am on maternity leave for a while, so I should have some extra time :).

Carolyn | 0 comments Laura, sorry you didn't get that nomination in; but, save it for next month. I need to get 'springs renewal' in my view so I remember to start this next months selection
