Synopsis

We were supposed to be best friends
But turned out to be worst enemies…

Penn
They say revenge is a dish best served cold
I’d had four years to stew on what Daria Followhill did to me, and now my heart was completely iced.
I took her first kiss.
She took the only thing I loved.
I was poor.
She was rich.
The good thing about circumstances? They can change. Fast.
Now, I’m her parents’ latest shiny project.
Her housemate. Her tormentor. The captain of the rival football team she hates so much.
Yeah, baby girl, say it—I’m your foster brother.
There’s a price to pay for ruining the only good thing in my life, and she’s about to shell out some serious tears.
Daria Followhill thinks she is THE queen. I’m about to prove to her that she’s nothing but a spoiled princess.

Daria
Everyone loves a good old unapologetic punk.
But being a bitch? Oh, you get slammed for every snarky comment, cynical eye roll, and foot you put in your adversaries’ way.
The thing about stiletto heels is that they make a hell of a dent when you walk all over the people who try to hurt you.
In Penn Scully’s case, I pierced his heart until he bled out, then left it in a trash can on a bright summer day.
Four years ago, he asked me to save all my firsts for him.
Now he lives across the hall, and I want nothing more than to be his last everything.
His parting words when he gave me his heart were that nothing in this world is free.
Now? Now he is making me pay.

Hi, did you read her Sinners of Saints series first? If so, do you think I need to read it first?

Katina Buchanan (goodreadscomkatina_buchanan) | 25 comments Shen has spice, sauce, and custom in every sense of the notion. What I am really trying to say, I like it and not because I like to speak profanity. But because it's typical of the toy-puppet life that ballerinas, gymnists, and dancers endure while they fight they way to the top. What was once a home away from home, state of the art dance studio is no a cloud of smoke, peeling paint, faded walls, and not a picture of the tap dance kid anywhere in sight. And the only people who gets chosen or accepted are newbies. Makes you want to cuss and spit on the walls, over and over and over again. The author uses different characters to show you how the hustle and bustle can twist and ravage a young child's mind. I think it's a truthful picture of the dance life for many young entrepreneurs in the US. Overall, Shen has done a great job. We need more real minded artists like Shen to produce sound into diction and literary meaning.

I only read Vicous this far and it didn't bother me going into this book. If anything at all it really makes me want to read on with the SoS series

Hi Melinda,
I've read the Sinners of Saint series (it's amazing, so I suggest you to read it sooner or later!!), but you don't have to read it before reading Pretty Reckless. This new series focus on the children of Sinners of Saint's characters, so it's a whole different story!!

Chiara | 531 comments I'm gonna start reading it now..looking forward to reading it with you all! :)
