Avery Schutt The book 127 Hours: between a Rock and a Hard Place, is an Auto Biography non-fiction book about the events that took place to Aron Ralston. It is essentially is a book telling about the things that went wrong for one man, while he was on vacation. A book that mainly recounts of Aron Ralston’s life story, then switching back to him telling you about his situation. A book that tells you about the events that are currently happening and all the things that happened in his life that would’ve led up to what happens. It is a pretty good book. I think this because the theme of the book is pretty much-overcoming adversity. I like that theme because we all face adversity in our everyday lives. The thing that makes this theme more apparent that the adversities we face in our daily lives is simply her could’ve died on there, if he didn’t make good choices he could’ve simply died. Things seem more apparent when we could die.
Since Aron was in the middle of nowhere in Utah, with just enough water to get to where he wants to go, being stuck in a boulder with no one with him to rescue him, or any form of way to contact the outside world. It shows that he needs to be smart to get out of there alive and make some really tough choices like whether to cut off his hand or wait until help gets there that he may or may not know will come. It all makes his problem more apparent.
