She tilted her head up into the kiss, propping a knee up beside his body.

He smiled and pulled back taking a breath
She inhaled a gulp of air when he pulled away, aware of the faint veins around her eyes.
"Beautiful" he whispered looking at her
She smiled a little and bit her lip.
He looked into her eyes
"Did you and your ex have a...physical relationship?"
He sighed and looked down "Yes, we did"
"Apparently I wasn't good enough for her"
"She doesn't deserve a great guy like you. It's her own fault for what she did."
"I know, but it can't help but think what I did wrong"
She reached up and held his face in her hands. "You did nothing wrong. And I mean that. I KNOW that."
He looked at her "How did I get so lucky?"
"I wouldn't consider myself lucky." She muttered.
"Hey, that's who you are and I like you just like that"
"Like a monster?" She said ruefully, looking away.
"Yes" he said to her
"Hey" he said
She turned her head to look at him again.
"I love you just the way you are. Monster, demon, I don't care"
"You say that so easily." She whispered, rubbing her hands up and down his arms.
"Because it's true"
She took one of his hands and played with his fingers delicately.
He took his other free hand and caressed one side of her face
She closed her eyes and leaned her head against his hand.
"Want to head back to your place?" He asked her
She looked up at him and nodded. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah" he said nodding
He got up picking up the blanket and putting everything in the basket
When he was done packing the stuff she took the basket from him and smiled. "I got it."
"You sure?" He asked her
She nodded and held out her free hand to him.
He held her hand and then remembered Ally and remembered her boyfriend " Amy, would you mind staying at my place tonight?" He asked her
"You want to watch out for your sister, don't you?" She asked, but already knew the answer.
"Yes, I don't trust that boy" he said shaking his head
"Okay" he said leading her down a shortcut to his place
"I'm sorry that he starred at me." She mumbled as they walked.
"It's fine, I should get used to it"
"That must make you feel awful. I'm really am sorry...I feel bad.."
"It's not like you actually have a choice"
she squeezed his hand tightly as they continued to walk
He smiled as they reached his house
