"Nothing." She said louder, smiling a little.
"Okay" he said smiling as they reached the place.
Amy stopped and peered around, her smile widening.
"Like it?" He asked her looking at the cherry blossom trees as they blew in the air
"Love it." She smiled, resting a hand on the trunk of the tree.
He smiled "So do I"
"Got a blanket to lay on the ground?" She asked.
"That I do" he said as she went behind the tree and got out a basket
"You already have the stuff here?" She asked, her face beaming.
"Of course" he said smiling "I planned this out"
"You're amazing." She smiled, taking the blanket from him and laying it down on the ground in front of the tree.
"Why thank you" he said smiling "I try to be"
Amy laughed and sat down cross legged on the blanket, glancing up at the tree. "You know, this tree looks familiar."
He sat down with her "Really? How?@
She starred at the tree for a moment before answering. "I think I was here once...back in the 19th century when I was young.."
"Oh" he said "My mom used to take me here a lot" he said remembering
"And have picnic?" She says smiling at him.
"All kinds of things, sometimes just to walk around" he said smiling as he opened the basket
She smiled also and peered inside the basket. "What have you brought?"
"A lot because I didn't know what you would like" he said as she pulled out some wine
"I love red wine." She beamed, taking the bottle and reading it.
"Great" he said smiling as he too out two wine glasses
Amy wrapped her fingers around the cork and pulled it out with a pop.
He smiled and took the bottle from her and poured two glasses
Amy took her filled glass and held it up. "What should we toast?"
He raised his glass "I don't know, a great relationship?" He asked
"Okay. To a great relationship." She smiles, clanking her glass with his.
He smiled and clanked his glass with her and took a sip of his wine
"You really do like it" he said smiling
"Yeah." She smiled and licked her lips.
He smiled and leaned back, his elbows supporting him
"It's weird how much the world has changed." She said wistfully.
He smiled loving to hear her talk "What do you mean?"
"I've been around since 1888. It's weird seeing how much technology has changed. I never thought I would see the day where girls could wear pants." She laughed.
"I don't know how you did it" he said laughing
She laughed and set her glass aside, then laid her head down in his lap. "Corsets were a bitch too."
"I like that about you" he said looking down at her
"Like what?" She asked, looking up at him.
"Your outlook on the world. You got to see how everything evolved" he said looking at her
"Yeah. But living through the wars was hard just like the textbooks say." She said.
"Oh gosh please don't mention textbooks" he said smiling "I never liked school"
She giggled a little. "Guess how many schools I've been too."
"100?" He guessed smiling
"About 47. It all depended on the family I was living with."
"What do you mean the family you were with?"
"I've been adopted more times than I can count. Had to act normal, you know?"
He nodded his head in understanding "Were they all good people?"
