message 126: by AlegnaB † (last edited May 19, 2019 06:37AM) (new)

AlegnaB † (alegnab) | 982 comments 1. In my home library where I can close the door to block out TV noise, in my La-Z-Boy swivel rocking recliner that I've had 31 years, which I nursed my kids in, which I spent hours upon hours reading aloud in, which I’ve spent lots of time either reading or watching TV in nearly every day since I’ve had it, which child #2 claimed as his reading chair much of each day during his teen years, and which still has its original chenille fabric (which I wasn't crazy about, not knowing how durable chenille would be, but the chair was a floor model on sale for a great price, and we liked the style and color. I wish La-Z-Boy still made such high-quality furniture, but sadly, that's not the case).

If I still had a front porch, it would be in the swing on my porch when the weather is nice. I can read for many hours at a time, but I need to move pretty much constantly, which is why I love rockers and swings.
