Sometime in the past three years, I read a short sci-fi story on some website. Despite my best efforts, I can't find it again. I'm not sure if this is the right place to search for something like this, but I figure that someone here has to have stumbled across this at some point. Here's a short synopsis of everything I can remember.
A girl (high school or college aged) does research in a lab developing an immortality serum. She accidentally injects herself with some of it, but is assured that it doesn't work. Well, it turns out that it both works, and is sexually transmitted. This girl finds everyone who also became immortal and has them killed. Eventually, she becomes extremely wealthy and powerful. After many, many years, once technology has advanced enough, she has her conscience and memories uploaded to a computer. Because of her longevity, and her innate intellect, she begins to believe that she is actually god.
I'm pretty sure that the last sentence in the story is, "She always did have a mischievous streak."
