Why Is It So Hard To Get All My Books To Show?

Did you add the books (or request in librarians group for a book to be added) and then they disappeared from your profile? Or did no one ever add?

(Goodreads does get some data feeds so if your books are in publisher feeds, onix/Ingram, etc. -- they should show up but most no traditionally published books have to be added because not on the publisher feeds and other data sources.)

Did they show up on another author's profile (like maybe you need to also claim this author profile: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... or request to merge your current one to it)?

Librarians in Librarians group can straighten you out; merging author profiles needs a staff member to do but that can be requested there on the goodreads author merge thread at https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I think they are showing up on another author's profile -- specifically on https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... profile for "Karlton B. Douglas" because that was the name used on the bookcovers.

You probably just need to request the author profiles be merged over in the librarians group on this thread https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... (and in that same group to ask for any books on neither "Karlton B. Douglas" profile nor your own to be added goodreads)

If you try to add it now, it will tell you that author profile already exists.

Once the profiles get merged, all the books (with their ratings, reviews, shelvings, etc.) will show up correctly on your profile which would then have the "B." (I'd make sure to specify on merge thread that your goodreads author profile should have the B).

[The other way to do iit if staff take too long for you on the merge thread (because of the weekend) is to ask a librarian to remove the "B" from the other profile so you can add the B to yours and then ask them to edit the author on each and every book/edition to put the B back in. By glancing at that merge thread, honestly, you can see they don't usually take long]
