- chapter 1:
(view spoiler)[The start of the chapter gives te reader the feeling that Bella is going to die somewhere in the story or at the end of it. In a way she feels okay with it as she dies to pretect a loved one, but we don't know the when, the how...So as a reader you get curious to read on. (hide spoiler)]

- chapter 2:
(view spoiler)[In this chapter Bella struggles with the new school. She has so many quesiotns on how it will be and how she'll fit in. She meets Edward, who gives her a very weird feeling. At this moment there's a sense of attaction between both. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Bella gets more interested in Edward and it seems that it's mutual, but Edward is very reserved abvout it. (hide spoiler)]

I was doubting that I still would be interested in a re - read of a book that I've read years ago, but it still captures me. Bella pictures really good on the troubles, questions, doubts,...young adolescents have.

I don't think she knows it yet, but she's falling head over heals for him. He gives her signals that he's bad, he actually tells her, but she won't hear it. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[This was actually an eye - opener, because I've found the answer on why Edward skipped Biology. I haven't seen that when reading it for the first time. He skipped the class, because of the blood that was needed for the search of blood types. (hide spoiler)]

I also wasn't sure how reading it so much later would be. But honestly, I still enjoy it. It's a sense of nostalgia for me.

Chapter 6 to 14:

(view spoiler)[The strangest part for me is that Bella isn't scared at all. During all these chapters, the one thing that is dominant, is her curiosity about Edward. She's not scared that he's a vampire and is very able to kill her. Maybe it's because I'm much older reading this book again that I find Bella and Edward a bit on the flat side. They're characters could have been worked out better, but maybe that's a side note. Jacob told Bella about the legend out of jealousy, I think, but wait on what will happen to him! And sparkling vampires, no no no, he could've been an elve instead, but I've got to admit: it's well found. I think the relationship between Bella and her father Charlie is a bit normal for teenagers, so it's sticks to the reality for a bit. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15 to 24:
(view spoiler)[It's strikes me that the Cullens takes Bella in into their coven/family. I can understand Rosalie, though. It's her right to have her doubts. It looks like the Cullens want to take their alternative coven to another level, by letting one have a human partner. Still, Bella, isn't really afraid of that at all. Just a couple of times. It was interesting to read the history of Carlisle and how he changed Edward. It's a bit of history on witchhunting centuries ago. Also, I didnt remember on what happened to Alice untill I' ve read it. I missed a bit of more explanation about that. The scene of the baseball game was very good. Maybe because I've remembered it from the movie with the music of Muse. It was brave and stupid at the same time what Bella did planning on going to James. I know she wanted to save her mom, but it was like her life didn't matter. She would've given up on everything, mainly for Edward. That was a bit foolish.
Overall, I still liked the re-read, but I missed a bit the magic and the excitement that I've got reading it years ago. (hide spoiler)]

It’s odd how obsessed Bella already is with him. He saved her from a car ehehe she’s already thinking she’s going crazy. It definitely reads like a fanfic on wattpad. (hide spoiler)]

Edward is also all over the place wth dude, he doesn’t want her to be around him but then proceeds to ask her to Seattle with him. Logic. Wow Jacob is two years younger? I didn’t expect that. Isn’t he the other love interest? She’s starting to figure out that Edward is a vampire, its odd that she already dreams of Edward and Jacob in their true forms hmm. Can she see the future maybe? I don’t know that much about the series, just the basics/most popular things from the media. I think I’m liking it so far, it’s an easy read besides her pining for Edward. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Aaaaalright then, she was very unbothered by the fact that he’s a vampire what the hell? And she nearly got attacked again, what’s going on with that chick. Still don’t understand why all the boys are so into her honestly. I didn’t know Edward could literally read minds what the hell, at least he can’t read hers. And how is it possible that only he can do that, not his family? Also interesting that she just assumed the whole family are vampires, even the not Cullen ones.

Her chill reactions really are freaking weird wtf girl. He’s slowly sharing more and more with her, it’s odd how quickly he did that. I also want to know more about the rest of the family, bc we’re 200 pages in and still barely saw them besides their vague mentions. I’m glad Mike is with Jessica now bc I was getting sick of his jealousy. Edward behaves like a stalker with all his questions and such, they’re so weird together wtf? I’m waiting for the ‘I sparkle’ moment 🤣🤣 That’s about where my knowledge ends, I think I only know a few things from the ending idk. It’s odd that she was surprised that Billy believed the legends - Edward literally is a vampire as she knows, so obv the legends ARE true???? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I wonder whether Jakob isn’t a werewolf yet, maybe they change at 16? It’s odd that he doesn’t seem to believe the vampire thing and thinks that his father Billy is superstitious. The sparkle scene wasn’t as funny as I imagined lol. But his mood swings give me whiplash wtf, it’s so vague, he seems to have multiple personalities. Their walk and date was cute besides that though, finally some explanation of his behaviour. They sort of kissed, finally! I must admit that it’s easy to read.

So Alice can see the future damn! Not sure whether I trust her yet, her backstory seems too odd, especially since she doesn’t remember her making. Edward is also a bit off when he talks about her, I wonder if she saw something terrible or something. They already told each other that they love each other? Damn dude wtf the pacing?? His family is surprisingly nice to her damn, especially considering that she’s human. Not sure what Rosalie’s problem is tho, we haven’t really seen her and Emmet yet. NAHAH I FORGOT!! I knew this too - they’re going to have a baseball game in the thunderstorm HAHAHA🤣 can’t wait. I loved learning more about Carlisle’s past tho, I’m pretty sure he’s going to die for some reason. why on earth does he want her so bad wtf??? He now got her mother, it makes absolutely no sense lmao. Love how Edwards family got his back tho, that’s cute. James is trouble though, it’s stupid that she’s going to dump Alice (also, how could she not just hear the phone call wtf????) I thought they had great hearing. Stupid Bella, they could’ve helped. Her descisions and behavior make no sense. At least they know exactly where Bella will go/end up, the ballet school. Convenient talent that Alice.

Odd ending, they killed James & then went to the prom - I can’t believe she nearly died and got bitten by James. It’s odd how badly she wants to be a vampire tho wtf? She doesn’t really know anything about it? Odd. Jacob also grew a lot suddenly hehe, he’s definitely already a wolf but he doesn’t seem to know yet? Odd. I still don’t know whether I can trust any of Edwards family, probably because they don’t have any depth really. But yeah, it was an easy fun read I guess!
