Nabse Bamato (wwwgoodreadscomnabse_bamato) | 14 comments Hello everyone

Coming a bit late to the party, but I am planning to try and read 20 books for this challenge this year. I only recently joined Goodreads so I will let myself count anything I have written a review on so far even though I am only technically starting now.

I am calling my list non-committal because I am not good at planning where I want to go or what I want to read - I'm rather a spontaneous chooser. My only rule for including books in this challenge is just that I can only read one book from each country and I can only include one country from each book (if they have multiple settings). As you can see, I am rather Africa focused (I am Ethiopian), but that can change. So, to date this year, I have read (and posted reviews on):

China: The Painted Veil by W. Somerset Maugham
India: Behind the Beautiful Forevers by Katherine Boo
Ivory Coast: Aya (Aya #1) by Marguerite Abouet
Niger: Harmattan by Gavin Weston
Rwanda: Baking Cakes in Kigali by Gaile Parkin
Sudan (North): Season of Migration to the North by Tayeb Salih
Uganda: All Our Names by Dinaw Mengestu

I have every intention of stealing all your recommendations so am looking forward to reading your reviews.

All the best,

Nabse B

Welcome Nabse! Glad to have you along with us. And thanks for your links to what you have read so far. A couple of those I haven't heard of before. Off to explore :)
