Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 6 comments Hello, everyone! I'm especially glad to have found this group today, because I just learned that what I thought was a Western historical romance probably doesn't meet many romance readers' expectations for "a romance." Why? Because it involves two characters matchmaking for each other who don't end up together, and whose eventual partners aren't clear until well into the book. The historical aspects include post-Civil War PTSD, medicine in the 1870s American West, and the Page Act.

Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 6 comments The book, What Heals the Heart, has changed quite a lot since I posted the above. The primary partners are now the focus throughout. It should now qualify as a romance.

Kathy Golden | 7 comments Congratulations on your release. Do you have an excerpt available? Did you use any services offering ARCs (Advance Release Copies)?

Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 6 comments Thanks!

I haven't used any services that distribute ARCs. I'll be sending out review ebook copies soon. I posted an earlier version of the beginning on my blog a while ago, and will post an updated version and some other excerpts over the next few weeks.
