Kunchok is the lead hunter for his tribe tasked with providing food from a dwindling food source. When he scents the pale woman running from him through the dangerous forest, he knows there is something different about her, something that makes his heart beat harder than an orik raid. He needs to keep her safe, keep her close, so he will bring her back to his tribe to find out her purpose. Plans change when he realizes, she doesn't speak his language.
He has to make a decision. Will he go back to her kingdom...or remain lead hunter, so the tribe won't starve?
