Christine Wow, there are a ton of No's here. I'm all in, the ultimate power is with the submissive. She has the power to stop at anytime. It may not be for everyone, but I'd try it, and who knows maybe I would like it.

The one time in the book where she did say her safe word, he stopped immediately, and comforted her. They discussed it, and moved on. It takes a lot of strength for a man to stop in the middle of something.

Wyn I think, I might really end up with a YES>

Vipula @sherlocked Because she is so weak. I mean, I can't tolerate her, she is an idiot. I am sorry, if I am being rude.

You're not, I was just curious.
I don't really like her personality, but I dislike Christian more because of how controlling and possessive he is.

SUSAN *Nevertheless, she persisted* A resounding NO. I would prefer a mature alpha male who is a true Dom,not someone who read "BDSM For Dummies"and bought a flogger.

Tarin Nope.
doesn't matter how drop dead gorgeous he is :/

I'm with you, I'm all in. I'm surprised so many people said no.

Elise-Pinterest+Goodreads=The Perfect Book Boyfriend Absolutely not!!! And he would know no to even ask me. You might stop being sexual and just start beating me because of something I did that you didn't like. Ummmm...NOT!! Plus, he has too much money for me to ever feel truly safe (he might hire someone to kill me).

message 64: by MC (new) - rated it 5 stars

MC Noooo. He's way too much, with all those chains, strap etc. Psycho ermm. If ever If really someone is like him nowadays, dont think anyone can survive. LOL.

Kayla NO!!!!!!

Mary Pat No.I think he has a screw loose. Also, when she would cringe and worry if she raised her eyebrows or some such thing, can't remember what, I was deeply annoyed...oh god, what will he DO to me!??? Really? Such a fake character, I read it because I don't say mean things about a writer until I've read their work. Also, I confess that I was intrigued by character introduced at the end of the first book, but it wasn't worth my time...poorly developed possible ONE GOOD thing about this book. I hate it that the w
riter got such fame and money behind a POS book.

Samantha Dann Hmmm I wonder if the character of Christian Grey who clearly changed so much during the trilogy on his path of self discovery would in fact be the dominant he made us believe. My answer thus would be NO if it were Jonathan Drazen (CD Reiss) I would definitely have to say yes. Christian whilst convincing in the beginning lacked lustre at the end whereas in CD Reiss books he returned to his control with more Dominance. The fantasy of being taken in this way is very compelling and in some way I think we read these books to feed that curiosity however, if "push" came to "shove" I am all too sure we would back down

Sandravides Yes,yes with mine eyes open because it's all about control

Julie Ounanian Nope.

+ geEkinTHepINk x Bahahahahaha

Hmmm... maaayyyy be?

Samantha Garman I would've thrown the wine (and contract) in his face.

M.D. Jerome I don't know that is a very good question, I love Christian Grey and his dominant/ sensitive/ protective character. But the question is about me, would I be able to take the BDSM world? Could I handle the pain? ... probably not. So to save us both the trouble I would refuse, with big huge tears in my eyes!

Mochaspresso Nope. Well, not under those terms that they negotiated in the book. I'd have to add some conditions and demands of my own.

I would say "Hell Yeah!!!!"

Commander Spock(Live Long and Prosper) A heh. A heh heh.

NOPE. NOPE. NOPE.

SO MUCH NOPE.

Deatrice Regina wrote: "Hell to the No!!! I would tell that little freak if he hits me, I'm going to hit his a*s back! in a way he wont be getting off on! I mean excuse me but "U want to hit me... with a leather strap U..."

I couldn't have said it better myself!

Tarin of course you don't mind... cause you're picturing yourself as ANA STEELE.
ANA STEELE was never a submissive. She's always an exception to the rule. think yourself as LEILA for once please ?

coming in for the weekends. hardcore sex, no emotions, no touching, no talking, no looking in the eyes, no sleeping together. just have sex then leave.

its like he's buying you for sex only. will you say Yes to it ?

Carolina Morales Yes, and then I would also be converted into a brainless novel character as a bonus.

Jenny I love his sexual appetite so I would say yes but I'd also tell him I'm not like Ana I'm very different and way better

message 80: by Tia (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tia Hell yeah! I have my reasons

Regina, I"m in total agreement with you girl, most definitely no can"t see anyone who whould willingly allow someone to tie them up and beat the cheap out of them and then expect that person to,stop simply because I use a safe word. This craziness is fine for books and make believe but in the real world people usually end up dead or worse.
