Wow, I've never even heard of the last two! See, even Icy has a thing or two to learn. Thanks Blaze. :)

1. Percy Jackson & The Olympians Series by Rick Riordan
For those of you who have never read the Percy Jackson series, you are missing out. Not only has it been turned into two movies, but there is an actual camp you can attend based off of the book! This series along with more series by Rick Riordan (Kane Chronicles, Heros of Olympus) are must reads for anyone. Revolving in the modern world, the novel is based off of teenagers who are known as Demi-Gods. This means one of their parents was a god which can range from any of the Greek Gods or Goddesses. In this series, you follow Percy Jackson along with his group of friends as they travel, making new companions, and defeating enemies as they eventually aim at saving both the mythological world along with the modern world. These are my favorite books of all time. This is what inspired me to start writing. The dialect used is fairly simple, but the plot is out of this world and I have read the series numerous times. I strongly recommend this to all of you. The series gets a 5/5 on the Shadowhorn yum rating scale.
2. Children of the Red King Series by Jenny Nimmo
Another one of my all time favorites. This series is similar to Percy Jackson (more like Kane Chronicles) in the sense that it deals with magical powers and such. Charlie Bone is your average kid except he realizes he has certain powers that let him hear the thoughts and words of people in photos. This is not something ordinary so he is sent to Bloor's Academy, a school for children with special gifts where they learn to harness their powers etc. Charlie along with friends he makes down the road must work together to save the world from the dangers that surround them. I give the series a 5/5 on the Shadowhorn yum scale.
3. The Rise of Renegade X
It's been a while since I've read this book but I remember loving it. Damien Locke is the son of a super villain mom and unfortunately he never knew his father. One day, he finds out that his father was actually a super hero and so he tracks him down and is sent to live with him for a bit to see if he wants to be a Hero or Villain. The book starts off really nicely from the start and so I don't want to ruin it so you'll have to check it out for yourself. While typing this, I realized that there is actually a second novel following this called, "The Trials of Renegade X" and so I will be getting it at the library soon and reading it. I give this a 4/5 on the Shadowhorn yum rating scale.
I hope you guys enjoyed this quick overview of 3 of my favorite books that I can guarantee you will love if you read. They are all filled with mystery, magic, and tons of adventures that pull you in and keep you on the edge of your seat. Have you read any of these? Let me know what you thought of them! Better yet, let me know what your 3 favorite books are! I'd love to hear what you guys have to say.
Thanks for reading!
