I read this book 10 years ago and remember liking it but can't remember the name. It starts with a guy going to work in New York and then the power starts to go out. The guys boss starts changing into a super strong demon like thing over time.

The title of the book is like "_____ time", just 2 words on a black cover with like a red demon looking thing on the front. It is in a series which I believe is only 2 books but possibly 3. In the second book, planes start to fall out of the sky and one of the characters is a little girl who likes Dostoyevsky or Tchaikovsky or something.
