Sadly, it is. She is afraid that she will appear as less than competent. Zoe was right to tell Tuck, because Celida really needed help and wasn't going to get it on her own,
Yes it is typical behavior and I’m glad Zoe told Tuck to move the story along. She wasn’t going to anytime soon.
I wish I had a better understanding of why those with this syndrome feel such shame about it. I guess they see it as a weakness. I’m really glad Zoe broke her confidence (I’m not sure she ever promised to keep it secret though) as Celida needed help.
