Haley VanScoyoc The theme of The Gardener is “Everything is not as it seems”. I think this because in the book there are situations where something may seem one way but is the total opposite and could change everything. On the back of the book it says “Mason is now on the run with the girl” so this effects the setting because there won’t be a specific place it will be. The characters also effect this because Mason didn’t have a father figure and it didn’t explain who he is.

Mia House What evidence can be found that the father was or is part of TroDyn?
What would happen if Mason and the girl hadn’t left The Haven?
Do you think that Mason running away was a good choice?
