Lighthearted/Humorous JAFF or regency

Hi everyone!

I'm finding I'm in a bit of a rut! I'm re-reading so I can write a review of it before giving them away, and I'm reading right now, as well. I find I'm plodding along with both books, and I have figured out that I want to read something more lighthearted or even funny.

I have recently read and I loved it. It was so amusing and was just what I wanted. I've also read Candice Hern's works and I've enjoyed them as well.

I'm just looking for something sweet and funny or amusing. No murdered Lydia, no somber former monks, Japanese thieves, no -falling-down-the-stairs-and-misscarrying type stories.

‘The Longbourn letters’ by Rose Servitova is a book that I really enjoyed. It’s a series of letters,through the years,between Mr Bennet and Mr Collins.
If you choose to read it,I hope it does the trick!!!

How about Chaos Comes to Longbourn: A Pride and Prejudice Variation by Victoria Kincaid? It's more of a farce than anything AND told from no less than eight POVs! It's a good romp.

Then there's Mr. Darcy's Bad Day: A Pride & Prejudice Novella by Christie Capps. If you enjoyed Mr. Darcy Came to Dinner, then you'll enjoy this, though it's novella length rather than a full length novel.

Do you read modern-day Austenesques at all? I recall Longbourn Library: A Novel of Pride, Prejudice, and Books by Trudy Wallace as being lighthearted and charming.

Abigail, I have read "Longbourn Library" before, and I have to say, it's probably the highest rated modern adaptation I've ever read!
