Derek A | 2 comments Hi:

I'm looking for a very old short story 1960s or 70s) about an assassin who has a metallic mesh implanted into his body which emits energy to kill his target. Possibly written by Robert Silverberg or other golden age sf writer.

Thanks,

Derek

I've read quite a bit of both, and that doesn't sound familiar to me. Just a data point; if OP were considering reading their oeuvres in the hopes of coming across his white whale.

Sarah Holland | 134 comments I found what I was thinking of, and I don't think it's what the OP was looking for. It's a short story by Randall Garrett, called Hunting Lodge. There is an implant and an assassin, but the implant is for ID and he kills his target with a gun.
