Krys (snarkhunting) | 19 comments Challenge: Read All the Books

01.) The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker - in progress
02.) Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky - in progress
03.)
04.)
05.)

Notes:

27 July 2019
Although it may seem like it, I certainly haven't forgotten the challenge I adopted here. Presently, I'm in the middle of two of my five books, so I'll add them to my list. They're both awesome so far!

I confess I've been spying on threads, but just haven't contributed to the discussions for fear I won't be able to check back in as often as I would like. I do hope to find enough time to chat with everyone soon.

19 May 2019:
Almost an entire month later, and I'm finally back to make some sense of the nonsense I wrote here earlier. (I can still call it a monthiversary, can't I?) The first challenge I've decided to tackle is the Read All the Books Challenge. I'm starting with a whopping five books as my goal, however, I am certain that some of these books will be whoppers.

Marginally related, but pizza is no fast food.

CBRetriever | 6113 comments hmmm, maybe Members Chat is a better place for this? This section is usually for the Board challenges created by the forum moderators from suggestions from the members.

Interesting article though

CBRetriever | 6113 comments and what about the common French Pizza Savoyarde that has potatoes. lardons (use diced Canadian bacon or proscuitto if you can't find them) and creme fraiche on it

or
https://larecette.net/la-pizza-savoya...

even Dominos and Pizza Hut in France offer it, but I preferred the one from Speed Rabbit

Krys (snarkhunting) | 19 comments Nice to meet you, CBRetriever, and thank you for the links! I hope I wasn't misreading the rules:

"- You can name it whatever you'd like as long as it's not graphic or rude, and contains your name in the title

- The name of your thread should include whether or not you'd like to allow people to comment on your thread"

I'll be back to edit my first post with more about the challenges I'll be taking on, provided I am in the right place to be sharing the experience. If not, please let me know, and I'll be happy to remove the thread.

Personally, I don't enjoy reading quite as much without sharing the task time with pizza eating!

CBRetriever | 6113 comments ahn, if that's the case, that's OK, but you'll get more chat and comments in the other section

most of us usually post what we're reading for the Challenges hers as in my thread:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

and Beth's Challenges thread:

Krys (snarkhunting) | 19 comments I will be sure to edit the placeholder once I'm at a computer. I have this horrible habit of breaking to-dos down into more manageable chunks, and sometimes chunks like the placeholder/reminder above make it seem like I'm off track. The threads you provided links to are formatted beautifully, so I will use them as a guide.

I will also take your recommendation to check Members Chat and see who has the best recipes for unusual pizzas.

CBRetriever | 6113 comments copy your post there and start a thread - it could be interesting

Haha! Krys, I understood this to be a placeholder for your challenges. You may run it as you see fit! But Chessie's not wrong, if you wanted to chit chat about reading snacks (bold of you to read with a finger food, unless you're one of those fork and knife types in which case I have questions) then you are also welcome to start a thread in Member Chat :)

Looking forward to seeing what challenges you pick up!
