Annie | 424 comments I'm preparing to travel next week, but hoping to get a little reading in this weekend. Maybe finish up a few titles I'm currently working on: The Fleet Street Murders, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Celebrating the Joys of Letter Writing, and An Unwilling Accomplice (ARC).

Charleen (charleenlynette) | 1688 comments I've got a couple re-reads I'm hoping to get to, Wit'ch Gate and Wit'ch Star. I started re-reading the series months ago and never finished. Not sure I'll get through two books in three days, but we'll see how far I get.

I need to finish Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin. I'm slogging through. About 57% through of 700-odd pages. I really liked the movie so I'm trying to get all the connections...it's hard. I'm also reading a retelling of fairy tales called The Witch and Other Tales Retold by Jean Thompson. I started the second Ranger's Apprentice book during the last readathon and haven't touched it since so I'm also hoping to at least get halfway through that.

Thanks for starting the thread Kay! My goal is 100 pages. I have not picked out any books yet, I'll look after dinner. So excited to make some time for reading this weekend :)

Karol | 221 comments Hi, all! I hope you're enjoying the read-a-thon. I had a lot of reading time, getting through half of the book Ireland Rose, reading a couple of (long) chapters in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and 1 chapter of Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference?. Really hoping to get at least that first book finished this weekend.

Finished The Witch and Other Tales Retold. Started from where I left off (page 10) of The Burning Bridge, book 2 of the Ranger's Apprentice.

Charleen (charleenlynette) | 1688 comments I read to page 225 yesterday, and to 407 today. I should definitely finish my first book and at least start the second tomorrow.

Lori I had 2 books I wanted to read this weekend. One I was at 35% and the other I had just read the first chapter. I am happy that I finished the one book, Save the Date and now tomorrow night I can hopefully finish the other book. Unfortunately I didn't bring my kindle to work with me tonight so I'm done reading for now.....

Joy | 1116 comments Well, it's 5:30 where I am and I can check two things off the three things on my list:
- read half of "To Kill a Mockingbird" DONE
- Get to chapter 4 in "Wicked" DONE
- read 30 pages in Kibdle book ONLY READ 10.

All in all I feel I did well!! Thanks guys!!! Hope you all had a great holiday weekend and got lots of reading done!

message 14: by Charleen (new)

Charleen (charleenlynette) | 1688 comments I finished Wit'ch Gate (530 pages) and got 87 pages into Wit'ch Star. I'm not sure at what point my 72 hours "expired" but I'm also not too worried about it.

Hope everyone else had a great reading weekend!

Karol | 221 comments I didn't get as much reading time on Monday as I had hoped . . . but I did finish two books over the weekend - Ireland Rose and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Loved that second one!
