SOLVED. Sci-fi: Captive of samurai in space, who have the ability to move super fast, colonizing a planet. [s]

I read this probably 25-30 years ago. I can't recall the beginning, but the main character is the captive of samurai-like people, I think on a space ship traveling to a planet to colonize it.

The samurai have the ability to move super fast when they are in combat, which makes them seem unbeatable. I have a vague memory of speeders of some kind on the planet (?). Also something about weightlessness in the spaceship, maybe in some training environment.
