What is the correct procedure when:

an edition has a cover photo but no other details, but also has the most adds

an edition of the same format with all details except cover photo

Is it OK to move the details to the edition with the cover or is it better copy the cover to the edition with the fewer adds?

This would be in preparation for a merge.

(I could just post in the duplicates thread, but the one has insufficient adds that I can do it myself, and I might as well learn which is the proper procedure for future use.)

How do you know the cover matches the edition with the ISBN, etc.?

Glad I asked. Further investigation says that is an ARC (which is *not* indicated on the book record). I cannot find a source for the ebook cover (the ISBN is not at the publisher's website).
