The Stone Crusher question

Hello, I have't read this book but I'm wondering if it tells the story of a father and son on a march in Germany. It was a death march and at one point the son, during a rest stop by a river started digging in the dirt and found water, which he shared with his father.

I am looking for that story because we use it every year at Passover and we don't have it now because the computer it was in along with the printed material and everything else we had burned down in the Paradise, CA Camp Fire last November. If any one has that story or can point me to it before Friday, I would be so grateful. We always use stories to fill out the readings during the Seder.
