Anywho... Jack, you asked what's going on so... From what I can gather, the star ball will be an event used to create tension between the gods. I've noticed a few ideas on how this conflict may come to be, but it involves a creature called the Shrike which will wreak havoc at the ball.

Ya, I was thinking maybe it escapes its captivity and starts heading to the place with the most happiness at the moment (The ball) as it hates happiness. So they have to evacuate the thing as they fight something just as powerful as them (Giving it a whole ton of powers to turn it into the BBG (Big Bad Guy) like Mimicry Of Power, Voice and Appearance)

If we need to fling things into action pretty fast, I have Zenobia an expressly evil goddess who likes to make dramatic entrances and causing conflict amongst the so called good gods. If you need chaos, then she's usually a safe bet. She could definitely be one to be like "Hm, I found this very peculiar creature lurking in your realm... In fact it seems to be on its way here now, care to explain?" only to zip back up into the sky leaving them to fight over it until the shrike shows up.

tbh that's a pretty solid plan. she can let the shrike loose and then the others are in a frenzy trying to figure out who made the creature and it turns into an argument amongst the gods.
