Casey Paulucci | 9 comments For my 8th review I read Tape by Steven Camden. Tape has two main kind of characters whose names are Ryan and Ameliah. Ryan who is living in the year 1993 and Ameliah who is living in the year 2013. I found this unique because you really do not get too many books who have two main characters throughout the story who are not joined at the hip in some way. Ryan is healing from losing his mother from cancer and his dad remarrying. Ameliah is healing from the loss of her parents. She stumbles upon a the tape that Ryan made with Liam and Eve. Throughout the book it appears than Ameliah and Ryan have conversations and stories together which in turns helps Ameliah cope in a way with the lose of her parents. Something that I found very unique about this book was that the font within the book was different from who was speaking. So when you are reading the book you can tell if it is Ryan and if it is Ameliah. Maybe I haven't read as much as others, but I found this unique and very cool which made reading the book easier in my opinion. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a great story or a student who has gone through a lost and wants something that they can relate to.
