Big glossy coffee table books full of photos of artwork? Or non-fiction books about art and artists? I love both!
With fine arts I favor the Pre Raphaelites. I'm currently reading Pre-Raphaelites in Love by Gay Daly which details the artists who scandalized Victorian England. Next up is Effie: The Passionate Lives of Effie Gray, John Ruskin and John Everett Millais which goes into further detail about Effie Grey and her marriages to John Ruskin and John Everett Millais.
With applied arts my interests run in the same vein; I read a lot about William Morris, Morris & Company and their designs.
My favorite glossy picture books are the volumes of fashion and jewelry design.
