Combine same authors

Hi! I don't really know the rules for author's and their pen names. But these two are the same person. I don't know if they need to be combined or what:

We can't merge/combine the author names because the author name has to be what is on the book cover. So the books under Marty cannot be moved to M. Alice (and vice versa) unless the author wanted to claim her profile and lengthen her name to include all of these names.

If there are any books published once under one name and subsequently under another name, that creates an issue, and the primary author always has to be the first one the author has published under.
