Replacing incorrect covers

The above book has its hardcover covers transposed (UK for US, and vice versa - you can even see the edge of the UK Gollancz logo on the supposed US Macmillan edition); another of the author's books also has an incorrect cover.
What I'm asking - as we have more rules against changing covers than editing edition information - I presume I can swap the covers (I have the UK, so can upgrade to a proper photo), honouring the original listing, rather than simply editing the edition information to match the cover? The covers were added after the entry was created, to clarify, and all information was added by Librarians, which is why I'm being cautious.
