I laugh, "Positive."
She goes to put the orders in.
"Wait!" Doyle says. "What happened to your eyes, Indi? They look... Well, they're really dilated!"

"She was... injured. Major eye damage. She's kinda... blind." I explain in the sweetest way possible.
"Ah." He says, as if he deals with this every day. "That sucks like blood."
I snort.
"Was it that bad? I thought it was kinda punny!" he says.

I looked back down at Indigo. It was so scary. I thought, shivering. She was so still, still has death for the longest time. I thought she wasn't going to live.... And...and then those scars..... Her eyes seemed so lost, so sad... As she sat there, now, with Mae and Salifia trying to cheer her up as best they could, she just sat there, staring, staring at nothing....at the bare wall...she answered them, but her eyes hardly moved, as if she was already beginning to get used to not being able to see.
HA. As if anyone could truly get used to not seeing, after spending thier whole life with two perfectly usabe eyes....
"Em...? What's wrong? You look....." Paige was looking at me oddly, her head cocked.
"Huh? Oh, nah, I'm fine...Yeah..." I took a sip of my tea.
"Yup." I say, hoping that I'm looking at Em. "You look weird!"
"Hey-" Em begins, but then realizes I am joking.
I lay my forehead on the table despairingly.
"Guys, I am really tired, can we book a room at a motel or something, and drink the tea thare?"

I sit there, unmoving. I can't see what's happening. I heard a sickly sweet voice simper, "Excuse me? Can I kill you?" and then I bunch of groans and grunts.
I hate not being able to see. How will I know if I'm going to die?

As I walked through the grimy doorway, I grimaced. The walls were dirty and water stained, and each doorknob I could see along the narrow hallway was rusted beyond recognizion.
"What is this place, anyway?" I asked, glancing at Indigo beside me. Paige shrugged, saying nothing. She looked worn out. Indigo was hardly awake, so Paige and I were practically carrying her between us. I could tell Paige needed a good nights sleep, so I questioned no further.
The three of us slipped into the second room, where two bunk beds were positioned.
"Er, let's all stay in here, and keep an eye on Indigo - oh, sorry, I-I didn't mean it like-" But she didn't seem to have heard me, and as Paige and I carefully laid her down on the bottom of the right bunk, she immediately fell asleep.
Paige took the top bunk, and I was left with the choice of top or bottom on the bunk across the room. I chose the bottom, and sat down, staring at my toes.
"What a day." I thought, shaking my head.
And with that, I fell back and curled up under the blankets, fast asleep.

Five minutes later, I was out, teeth brushed, hair brushed, face washed, and bright eyed.
I grabbed the tray and peeked out of the doorway. Chatter was streaming in from a room a bit down the hall, so I headed in that direction.
When I entered the room, there were Paige, Indigo, Doyle, Kamiko, Alex, Salifia, and that Aura girl.
I sat down at the table, squeezing myself in between Indigo and Alex.
I tapped Paige on the shoulder three times. She directed my hand to a bowl of cereal, with I ate hungrily. Of course, then I knocked it on to the floor and spilled milk all over Em.
"Sorry!" I said rushedly, and began wiping it up with napkins.
And then I realized I was wiping off Doyle, not Em.
Embarrassing much?

I don't like Aura. Maybe it's because I can't hear or see her. She moves so quietly. There's also that little part about trying to kill us.
"Um, I'll stay here." I say. "I've barely gotten used to this place, I can't stand another room."
"C'mon, Indigo, Em and I will lead you." Paige says.

I stare at where I assume she is standing, and shakily make my way towards her. She is surprisingly gentle, and has me hold her arm. I wondered where we were going.
I drum my fingers on my knees, thinking. What was the best thing? The answer comes suddenly, and I almost cry. The best thing that's ever happened was when I decided to chase after the white haired girl. It led to my meeting everyone.
"The best thing was making friends with everyone here." I say.
"Have a specific moment in mind."
I think about all of them helping me at the teashop, trying to make me feel better, like real friends.
"Got it." I say.

"Wh-what? How did you....?" I stutter.
"C'mon." she says fiercely. "You are going to learn to be blind."

I pant hard, and hear the whooshing of the pole on my left. I drop to the floor, and spin around. This time, I'm ready. I duck, jump, move left.
"Nice work." she says. We had been training for at least two hours. We continue.
"Faster! Faster! FASTER! DO YOU WANT THIS? THEN GO FASTER!"
I move fast, breathing heavily.
Finally she says, "We will continue later. Now we'll work on moving around."

I wipe sweat from my eyes, breathing hard. Two hours. Two HOURS! I'd been ducking, swinging, lunging, for two whole hours.
I was on a small obstacle course, I had tried to choose the easiest thing, since I wasn't very experienced, but it anything BUT easy. After half an hour, I was forced to turn into my sort of half-panther mode. My hair black, eyes yellow, and long nails didn't do much, but my panther instincts helped a lot to dive and duck from swinging poles, or scaling a skinny beam - I nearly died trying to do the monkey bars. Well, if you could call trying to cling onto furiously shaking bars, with random objects flying at you in every direction - I even caught sight of a fully sharpened sword coming at me!
I stopped for a moment, once again wiping sweat from my eyes. Everyone else seemed to be doing okay, but it was hard to tell through all the stuffed animals that had just been thrown my way.
"Back to work." I thought, as I flipped back onto the trampoline.

We are training with Aura (Alice's second character, see page 18 or 17 I think) and Aura is training me to be able to fight and be able to easily be blind.

I stumble towards where I last heard Aura's voice, but she isn't there. Her voice rings out behind me,

My face red, I stand up and, avoiding Carla's smirking gaze, get back up on the beam. I make it only about halfway, then slip again.
What was wrong with me???
By the third try, I was almost to tears, and when I clambered back up on the beam - not all to graciously - I just sat there, glaring at the beam. After a moment's thought, I breathe in very deeply, and then let it out.
I stood and grinned. Full on black panthers should be able to do this.

Aura and I continued training until I could easily place and figure where she was.
"All right." she said satisfied. "We will continue practicing, but first, you are going to train with the others. Fight them. Train normally. And remember, always pay attention to your surroundings."

This time I easily made my way across the beam, and them lunged, literally brushing her left ear as I leaped past.
Enjoying myself thouroughly, I bounded across the wooden, vibrating plank, past the swinging poles, and through the metal hoops until I was back at the monkey bars.
Upon glancing behind me, I saw Carla determidely doing the course behind me.
