I love, 'If it sounds like writing, re-write it.' Some of those are fairly obvious but it's good to have them altogether.
I knew I was getting old when the bits I skipped on one famous series of books were the sex scenes!

He seemed like a very simple man so I am more then positive that he not only went by his rules but kept them in mind and told them to others he knew.
