Every time I go home, I see a new red mark on my skin.
Some are short and long, but all are dried up
With no certain clue how it marked,
Only faint ideas of accidents today.

With a headache on my mind, I take a bath.
The pain filling every spot of my skull
Until I try to focus it all on one spot and let it go
The blood flowing in my veins tired from releasing the pain.

Shadows and phantoms creep by my eye and tap my feet.
I'm too terrified to notice the absence of blood and it is nighttime and I should sleep
But I cannot for I am lonely, and the spirits make my eyes shiver
—scared enough to keep me working on this paper for four.

Cutting my nails, mother blames me
After she bites my skin and the nail cries red
So I take the nail cutter from her grip and decide to
Cut myself instead.

I lose more blood with people than I am with myself.
Their voices and hands creeping into my body,
I cannot take this any longer
There is not enough blood for me to live.
