Sometimes the movie IS better than the book

Just finished reading "Big Fish" after I've already seen (and fell in love with) the movie. Must say that the movie was a lot more entertaining and embellished the main character's mythic proportions more adeptly than the book. Both were charming, but the book clearly was more detailed and descriptive.

Yes sometimes the movie is better than the film.
I love the movie The Notebook, but I thought the book was a slow read.
