A member wanted to tap the group opinions to ask:
What points would you make to try to push for a school or district to include LGBTQ history in their standard curriculum?
How would LGBTQ representation in history textbooks benefit the community, destigmatize the community, etc?
Does anyone feel that it would have helped you personally to see it in your textbooks while questioning or feeling misrepresented?
How would it help the broader community and the nation, and not just LGBTQ students, to have exposure to that information in schools?
If you have opinions or ideas on how to sell inclusiveness in a curriculum (including links to data if you have any) do let us know here.
