I wonder how Diana is going to behave whilst in New York city, I mean: the 'real' world is totally different from her own little island. They don't even have men on her own island haha. :P (hide spoiler)]

Some obvious 'comic' moments, but it does rather play up the stereotyped sexism.

I have finished the book and I have to say it wasn't my favorite. Wonder Woman really isn't my favorite DC character so maybe that is why I wasn't really getting into the book. I will continue with the series.

I'm reading Batman :) I already read wonder woman before this started so I couldn't join for that one. I love Wonder Woman but I wasn't a gigantic fan of the book. Still since they are all written by different authors, I figure it could be a hit-miss series.

So far, I'm enjoying Batman:Nightwalker
To Ch 8
One of the things that makes this series difficult for me, I think is because the authors are going (view spoiler)[ back to the heroes' teen years and imagining stories then. So it's before a lot of the things that happen to make them who we know today, but the things in the stories are all new. So I am constantly going "Wait, that didn't happen" and then having to remind myself that they're making up a new incident in their teen years.

Having Bruce working in Arkham Asylum is very interesting. This should be before he's ever turned into Batman, so it will be interesting to see what Lu adds to help develop him toward doing so. I don't recall the nightwalkers and I'm not sure if Richard ever turns into an actual villain or if these are all completely new. Still... so far I like it better than Wonder Woman (hide spoiler)]

Totally on Batman :D I've kind of heard both ways about these books. Honestly, given the caliber of the authors writing them, I'm a bit suprised -- they're all a bit mediocre so far. Batman has been better than Wonder Woman was so far though.

To Ch 15

The big question here seems to be: (view spoiler)[ Is Madeleine playing Bruce for information so he can be her next victim or be tricked into letting her out, or is she telling the truth? Probably a little of both. I'm enjoying some of the conversations between the two of them, and the tips she's giving him... it's kind of like a scavenger hunt :D. Although when the chapter closed, the breakout is just happening and now he's in half-light with a couple insane inmates headed toward him so... gonna get good. (hide spoiler)]

hahahahahaha, Marie Lu is not letting me down here. Maybe it's because she's really good at writing batman-style techno-gadgetry but this one is sooo much better than I thought Wonder Woman was. My big question here is (view spoiler)[ HOW??? Is Madeleine doing all this stuff? I mean, yes she's communicating with someone with her little origami act but how in the world did she give everyone the layout of the Wayne mansion? She always seems to be ten steps ahead of Bruce but she's been in jail. He hasn't told her THAT much. I neeeeeeed answers! (hide spoiler)]

Loved. It. SO. GOOD.

Absolutely YA, but it worked. Loved the ending. Had a little trouble buying that (view spoiler)[ Madeleine managed to actually survive when she was bleeding internally. And not really sure Richard shouldn't have come back later as a villain. I'll admit to not knowing the backstory well enough to know if these guys were all his friends as an adult, but I love that we saw the first batsuit before he was really Batman and saw the cars and gadgets and all the things. (hide spoiler)] Such a fun story. Glad I kept going after the first one... and since I really do want to read Superman, guess I'll press on with the next one. But probably not until next month.

Batman finished. Wow! Explosive stuff. Definitely preferred this to Wonder Woman - just felt a little more in touch with the character.
