A Disclaimer from the Author:

It is not necessary to have read The Watchers Trilogy to read The Watcher Chronicles. But if you are interested in reading The Watchers Trilogy, I would recommend you not read this new series until you have finished Forgiven. What happens at the end of the trilogy is explained fairly early in Broken and I would hate for the ending of Forgiven to be ruined for you.

Ch 10 (50%) - (view spoiler)[ Ok, the talisman's and stuff are kind of cool. I'm interested to see what other religious relics might be used for the future members of the group. I was a little ticked at first when Jojo ended up being a world famous designer. Coupled with Chandler being a world famous rock star, I was a little annoyed that famous people were chosen for these roles - like wouldn't God choose some non-famous, normal people?? But it turns out that I like Jojo and Chandler a lot, so I guess I will let it go for now. If all the 7 end up being extra special, I might have to revisit my thoughts. (hide spoiler)]
Ch 16 (80%) - (view spoiler)[ Does it make me a bad person that I am annoyed by the back and forth we now have about them sleeping together? It just bugs me that we had to deal with the wavering of whether or not they were going to give a relationship a shot in book one. Then we finally resolve that, and now we have this indecision about whether they can actually be intimate with each other. I get that she has a troubled past, and I DO think it would be normal for her to be hesitant, but at the same time I am tired of the drama between them. Like, just get together already and focus on the real problems in the world. I'm insensitive, aren't I? (hide spoiler)]

Do we have time to go off on a tangent adventure - like finding the other 4 archangel hosts and all their stuff isn't a big enough challenge, now we have to go to some blood-sucking Earth to find Faison. Stupid Faison. And I seriously doubt that Mason and Jess are going to be able to resolve their intimacy issues if they are trying to keep themselves alive the whole time. (hide spoiler)]

As happy as I am that she was finally able to move past her issues and be with Mason, I'm actually ready for them to focus on work. I was so into this series after book 2, but something about this one has cooled my enthusiasm. There is only one more book, so of course, I will read it just to finish the series. But I think the author lost me by putting so much emphasis on sex with Mason. I can't believe those words came out of my head. Usually, a little romantic plotline mixed in with the fantastic is just what I like, but IDK, it seemed a little unbalanced in this book, as if 3/4 of the book was about her first time and the only other things that happened were they got Faison back and Lucifer threw a temper tantrum. Finished: So having audible is awesome with these Kindle Read and LIstens. The Audio automatically transfers to Audible and doesn't take up a credit or any extra money. You just download and you can listen on Audible. I loved it for this book which I feel on Kindle moves so slow via audio. ON audible I was able to speed up the narration to 2.0x for when I was "listening" and they sync up so when I went back to reading it took me straight to the page I was listening to on Audible. Pretty handy if I do say so myself. (view spoiler)[ I know the finish line is in sight but dang if this series isn't freaking dragging out forever for me. I was doing a little research and this is actually book 6 in the "Watcher" series. I'm pretty sure Michael's daughter must have had books 1 , 2 and 3 and then Jess's story starts book 4. Those books may clear up a lot of the unanswered questions I have from the beginning of the series. Honestly I just wish we could just get somewhere here and stop all this back and forth back and forth crap. I'm happy that Jess and Mason have finally taken the next step in their relationship but it was too late to stay off my irritation at the slow pace and lack of things moving forward plot wise for me. I'm just ready to get this over with lol. (hide spoiler)]

I get the whole Carpe Diem thing - they don't know if they will survive whatever happens with Lucifer, but planning an extravagant wedding in the midst of all this other stuff just seems stupid to me. How much you want to be that Lucifer shows up an ruins it by doing whatever it is that he is going to do to start the battle. Seriously, that's probably why Jess had a pissed off face in all the visions. (hide spoiler)]
