My favourite character was definitely Luke: level-headed, responsible, badass. He always had to remedy to the consequences of every other character's rash and thoughtless actions, and I lost count of the times he saved the day.
His happy ending is the only one I really really care about. If anything happens to him in the second part of the series, I'll never ever forgive the author.
Luke and Magnus! I don’t know what they would have done without his help, too. Then again, he is ancient😏
I’m still upset about Max as it was senseless.
I really struggled with the first book, primarily because of the YA element. The change in narrators with the second book was really helpful and they didn’t sound so juvenile. But, it was this book that captured my attention and interest, most likely because of the connected themes and world building. Things started to make sense and the characterizations got stronger.
