When Simon is rescued by Jace, Clary & Alec, they also discover the prisoner Samuel is actually Hodge. As he was about to share information with them, he’s felled by Sebastian and dies. What did you make of Sebastian at that point?

At that point I was more frustrated by the fact that they still weren't suspecting Sebastian, in spite of his shady behaviour!
I had started to like "Samuel", so I was sad to see him killed like that.

At that moment, all of them should have turned on Sebastian. I had to remind myself that maybe their youth was responsible for their lack of insight.

I’d become fond of “Samuel” too.

"Samuel" was a good character and I think Hodge would have really turned around and helped if he had lived.
I agree that they all should have seen something wrong with Sebastian at this point.
