I'm wondering about books with multiple editions. Not just republished, but edited. Like travel books that release a new edition every year with updated information about the place. Should these be combined?

How about these? The Baby Name Wizard: A Magical Method for Finding the Perfect Name for Your Baby
The Baby Name Wizard, Revised 3rd Edition: A Magical Method for Finding the Perfect Name for Your Baby
I have a related question: If a travel book (like a Lonely Planet guide) is released in several different editions and some of those editions have different primary authors, do we move all the editions to the first author's page and add the newer authors as secondary, or do we keep them on the individual author pages?Example:
Lonely Planet New York City
New York City
Or I guess a third option would be to make all the primary authors "Lonely Planet" and add actual people as secondary authors...
No policy is to put a "real person" name if known, so the editors can be different but should be in the primary position. In this case precedent is set to create a series to link the editions together
Edit:
Example series of Alaska Guides
