Can’t quite remember from when I was younger.

I have a series that I am trying to find again. I read them back during the mid 80’s to early 90’s. I would say probably closer to 88 then anything. It was a sci-if series that followed the life of the male protagonist through various seasons and adventures of his lifetime. It almost feels like the titles went something like Robert the slave, Robert the space pirate, and Robert the emperor of the galaxy. But I don’t think Robert was the right name. I remember a few details from the story’s such as. - The protagonists has a sister. They were separated at a young age and he cut her hair short and dressed her as a boy and put her in as a cabin boy on a merchant vessel. Later to discover that cabin boys often received unwanted attention from the ships crew he feels terrible for putting her in that place but finds her again as an adult to discover she turned out alright. Seems that he made her part of his ruling cabinet or something. I remember that while he was trying to become emperor he had to do political campaigns and ended up on a farming world where in order to get the people to listen to him he challenged their best worker to a challenge where if he could pick a row of tomatoes faster and without bruising any of them then the people would have to listen to him. He beat the worker but the guy counting the tomatoes purposely bruised one to discredit him only to be found out and then the people respected him and promised to give him their vote. I remember that this must have been an adult book because there was a sex scene that stood out to me. I remember the man being summoned to meet someone and he ends up in a dark warehouse where he sits down and gets immobilized and he can see and feel everything but is unable to move any muscles. The woman removes his clothes and sticks a finger in his backside to get him hard and then rides him out with him unable to do anything. I seem to remember it was almost like a male being raped scene where he had no intention of being with her and maybe wasn’t sure who it was until later he put 2&2 together. Anyways there wasn’t a lot of sex in the series but that one stuck out. It seems like there was between 3-5 books in the series but that’s all the details I can remember about it. I have tried googling key words or phrases without luck. I’ve tried looking through author lists etc but it seems like this wasn’t a big time author because I made it through a Wikipedia list till I got to about 275 names checking each of the authors works and still haven’t found it. Hope this can spark a detail in someone’s memory. I’m not even sure why I am on such a mad rabbit hunt to find the series but it’s really bugging me that I can remember certain details but not enough to track it down. It sounds like Bio of a Space Tyrant by Piers Anthony. The first book is Refugee.
