Week 452 (March 26-April 1) Poems Topic: A Change in the Weather

The skies are clear; clouds are ribbons, stretched thin
All below seems right, beautiful
Life- perfect
When ones walk along this day should be glad but careful
Don't let it spoil you. Don't let it keep you from knowing other days.
When water rises it lives upwards, becomes a sheet of white and gray
Do not be careless and stay anywhere it is if the clouds seems darker than the mid color.
As that is where hardships sway.
Like a sinister ship these weathers soar overhead, bringing terror.
Some people fear, others ignore and deny.
But be gentle-hearted, not discouraged.
Be wary but well-learned during all days.
All times be knowing, knowledge.
That's how life should be.

TITLE: March Madness
GENRE: Traditional Poetry
RATING: PG
From sunshine to rainfall, a change in the weather
From high to low, we never see it get any better
They call it March Madness for a good reason
This is the time of year for a suicide season
One minute we could be in the highest spirits
Another we beg for mercy and no one hears it
This is the very definition of being alone
Tears pouring down on our faces of stone
Memories from seemingly a long time ago
Come rampaging back, you fight toe to toe
We could convince ourselves over and over
That we’re in control and we are the owners
But it’s always been just a temporary fix
This isn’t Star Wars, these aren’t Jedi tricks
We aren’t superheroes, we don’t gain strength
We barely survive for a shorter time length
Whoever said that our struggles aren’t real
Just doesn’t have any empathy left to feel
It’s as real as a gunshot wound to the chest
Or a blast to the head where there is no vest
It’s as real as wearing a noose as a necktie
It’s as real as watching someone finally die
Don’t laugh us off, let’s all come together
Survive another change in teardrop weather
We are an army, more than you can imagine
We are an army and together we’ll manage
If all you did was survive yet another day
Reward yourself in some wonderful way
A chocolate chip cookie, a tray of hot wings
A Netflix movie that makes you feel things
You’re not alone and none of us really are
It’s time for us all to come out of the dark

Poet : Edward Davies
The human body cannot cope
With major fluctuation
Like changes in the weather or
A routine variation
We need some durability
In order to survive
We crave routine and permanence
For life to truly thrive

Poet: Xei R. M.
People think it’s different.
Like they won’t worry as much
Because it isn’t as fast as a super typhoon.
But it is as cruel!
It stays longer in the place.
Bringing water, the rain―
It damn comes to you as if
You’ve never loved it before.
Too heavy, that you cry each night
Without knowing the clouds.
And it’s suffocating, it’s drowning you.
Each day you’d wish you could swim
Yet you just sit on the corner of your dark room
Or lie on your bed
Like it is the softest thing you could ever rely on.
And you couldn’t think anything that isn’t.
The rivers are spilling over red liquid,
Flowing everywhere and you,
You can’t help digging them on your own
Because the government tells you to.
Because for you, it is not that painful as living here.
But life, as you know it, is hard.
And is beautiful too only if
You open your door again a little bit
To let light pass through
Or your window to see the world once more.
You can try. Don’t give up trying.
Tell me you don’t miss the old you.
The dream was as clear as the night sky at 2 a.m.
You knew there are countless stars out there to reach.
And that you literally can’t,
Though, you’d smile even so, because why not―
You can.
You feel because you can.
You think because you can.
You stand because you can.
You live―because you can.
It’s okay not to be okay for now.
However, having a storm is not a weakness.
It can stay for long but it doesn’t mean
That it’s the very last thing you could have.
Natural phenomenon or man-made event,
It doesn’t matter anymore because like Earth,
We have different weathers here in our mind.
We laugh or we bleed, then they pass.
