Michelle | 5 comments This might be a stand alone book or a short story in a book.
It's about a haunted apartment building that maybe used to be a hotel. The building was built around the 1920s, because I remember that it mentions art deco a lot. There are a lot of lightning storms for some reason. One standout feature of the book is that the pool is in a creepy basement. The basement has a low ceiling and the water sometimes appears green...I think!
I also think it mentions that you can see the whole city from the building, because it is on a hill. But I can't remember what city!

Michelle, around what year did you read this book or short story? This will help narrow down the search.

What's the genre or tone - horror, mystery, some romance, for older adults or teens (young adults), etc.?

Can you describe the main characters? Who haunts the building? Who owns or takes care of the building?

What's the time period and location (country/region/big city/small town) of the story?

I don't remember much besides what I already posted...that's the problem! It was definitely a large city, possibly east coast America.

That's not it, but thanks for the help!

Somebody mentioned that it might be "77 shadow street" and I think that's right, although I'm still not sure!
I think it's gotten a little mashed up with other books in my brain.
